The COUP organising team would like to thank everyone who contributed to the making the event such a success. From the early feedback we have received, the event was a success from the organisation beforehand to the Programme content and the Exhibition.

A big thanks goes to our wonderful Headline speaker Fred MacAuley and also to Robbie Glen, our speaker at the Gala Dinner who thoroughly entertained all dinner guests.

We thank all attendees and look forward to a successful event in Liverpool in 2013.

If you are travelling by train to the Conference next month, a timetable has been prepared to bring together all the Stagecoach bus services travelling between Leuchars railway station and St Andrews bus station. As previously mentioned, the St Andrews bus station is less than a mile from the New Hall accommodation.

COUP 2011 Programme

 

The COUP organising team is pleased to announce the Conference Programme for this year's event. The Programme covers a wide range of subjects that are relevant to the current  Higher and Further Education procurement environment. COUP 2011  will be opened on Wednesday by comedian Fred MacAuley and culminate on Thursday afternoon with presentations from Ian Lewis (HEFCE) and John McClelland (SFC) both of whom will also be part of a panel discussion along with Jenny Bushrod (AUPO).

 

There will be a choice of breakout sessions during the programme, to ensure we manage demand and capacities across these sessions, we will be asking for your preferred session closer to the event. Please note this is for indication purposes only and your place in a session is not guaranteed.

]]><![CDATA[Travelling to COUP2011]]>27/06/2011

The COUP organisers are committed to making COUP 2011 as environmentally-friendly as possible. To help with this, we have added some additional information under the Directions link. For many, travelling by train will be the best option with many regular services stopping at Leuchars, the local station for St Andrews. From Leuchars train station, there is a regular bus service operated by Stagecoach to the St Andrews bus station which is less than a mile from the Delegate accommodation at New Hall.

We have added timetables from Scotrail for services from Edinburgh, Stirling and Glasgow to Leuchars. To plan your trip by train, please look at the National Rail Enquiries journey planner at http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/.

For those Delegates who are flying into Edinburgh airport, we are organising a shuttle service to take Delegates to New Hall departing at 2.30pm and 6.30pm. More information on this service will be published next month. Please make the organisers aware if you would be interested in this service coup2011@apuc-scot.ac.uk.

For those not able to catch our special airport shuttle service, there are excellent transport links into Edinburgh city centre. An Airlink airport shuttle service will take you to Edinburgh Waverley or Edinburgh Haymarket where you can take a regular Scotrail train to Leuchars. Alternatively, Stagecoach runs a regular service to St Andrews Bus Station departing from Edinburgh.  The bus station is just a 5 minute walk from Edinburgh Waverley.
